Had 2 previous tattoos done here flawlessly, several years ago at alternate locations. Recently was able to acquire a walk-in appointment. Artist was very friendly, but tattoo turned out horribly. Didn't heal properly and now will need to be touched up, likely elsewhere. Perhaps it was the brand of ink used? Because I never had any reactions or issues with any of my other tattoos.
Jon LaFave is a complete jerk, and the other guys don’t seem much better. I went to Blackwater to make an appointment to get some work done by Jon. In the nastiest, rudest tone possible, he said, “Not to sound rude, but don’t wear patchouli the next time you come in here.” He then proceeded to tell me that he would have a headache for the rest of the day and the other guys would too. The best part…I wasn’t even wearing any patchouli. I left without saying a word, and no one said a word to me. I hope the headache I caused him was agonizing. I have never been treated so poorly by someone I was trying to give my money to. I will NEVER go to or recommend Blackwater Tattoo.
Absolutely phenomenal work from everybody here, my personal choice is Nathan Bauer. You won't regret coming here.
By far the best tattoo shop I've been to. Very clean and the service has been excellent. All the work I have seen done by these guys is great. Highly recommend Nathan, he does great work...MORE THAN pleased with the work he has done for both me and my husband. Everyone needs to remember that these guys are not there to coddle you and hold your hand they are there to preform a service and they do it excellently. So don't listen to the few negative reviews on here...If you do not go to Black Water for the work you want done you are seriously missing out.
